I've been low-carb for 6 months, but I just went grain-free 3 weeks ago. Today it occurred to me that my heels aren't the hard, dry, peeling, grey heels I used to suffer. And my fingers aren't dry, either, no matter how often I wash my hands (I handle litter box chores, so lots of hand washing); I thought, gee, seems all the good oils I've been eating have finally been doing their work now that grains aren't getting in the way.
