I don't want you loose faith in the Liver Flushes because you may miss-out on the health benefits that it provides. My experience tells me that the colour of the stones expelled can change from flush to flush even if you use the same oil.
Most Gallstones are composed of cholesterol and are usually yellowish green. They are formed when the liver produces more cholesterol than digestive juices can liquefy. Other Gallstones are composed of calcium and an orange-yellow waste product called bilirubin. Both types of stone can co-exist and often encourage biliary sludge to form. Biliary sludge is a thick green jelly much less dense that gallstones.
I think it just coincidence that the colours of the stones have change just as you changed oils and that you should continue flushing.
Canola oil oxidises extremely quickly and has a maximum natural shelf life of about 16 weeks provided it is stored correctly at low temperature away from sunlight. To stop it oxidising the manufacturers add caustic soda.
