Let's lay this all out on the table...

You have a bacteria that has been identified.

The medical professionals indicate a known drug will take care of the bacteria with a good probability of success.

If I understand you correctly you are now concerned that the side effects from the drug may be worst than the bacterial infection...

So you are considering throwing some unproven, untested alternative chemicals at the bacteria to see what happens...

Am I close?
