Hi Phelp,
After more reading I think I understand this better. What is left after a root canal is a tooth, which is alive, has cellular flow, and is susceptible to morg issues. Also left is the dentin that surrounded the root, also alive.

For me morgs attacking my teeth mean immunity problems, I think.

An extraction leaves nothing alive.
