Removal of Internal hemorrhoid cause potential problems?

how true is this?

"Long term solutions are more problematic. The reason is that, although hemorrhoids can be surgically removed, their absence can actually cause more problems. Internal hemorrhoids are simply anal cushions which have become dysfunctional. The anal cushions serve an important function in the control of your bowel movements. Having the internal hemorrhoids (dysfunctional anal cushions) surgically removed means forcing your body to perform its bowel functions without one of its primary tools. This can lead to permanent issues of incontinence for example."

I believe I may have an internal hem that is prolapsing. This happened about a week ago. Its not outside yet but I feel it in me constantly, which is weird. Still looking for natural treatment options, but there seems to be so many sites that just want to sell their own products...
