Final Mirena Awareness Update

I just wanted to update everyone on my decision about the Mirena Awareness website. The website will officially be shutting down at the end of September. It was hard to come to this final decision but I feel it is best. As I stated in previous posts, the treatment and attitudes I have received when trying to get support to help grow Mirena Awareness, have almost been a slap in the face. Despite many people's supposed support of the site and its mission, there still hasn't been anything done to help grow this into a bigger organization. As I've also stated before, I cannot do this on my own. It has been 3 years and I have tried many different methods to get support, even looking for a sponsor, but nothing. When I created this website, I had such a huge vision for how far it could go and how many women around the world I could reach. It pains me to receive constant e-mails from women with questions I don't have any answers to. This is why support is so important! No just financial support. Doctors, nurses, or anyone else with knowledgeable information would've been great; people with marketing skills; anything that could help Mirena Awareness grow. For the remaining messages I receive, I will just direct women to this forum. I was told by some not to give up on the site and its mission, but when I see a website about following cloud formation around the world receiving more support than a site about women's health issues, I know it's time for me to hang it up. It hurts to put so much into something, and get nothing from it.

If you would like to help keep the site going, your support in many areas is greatly needed. Otherwise, on September 30, at 11:59 pm EST, the site will officially be shut down.
