Best way to stop loose stools?

Hey all,

Thanks for this exciting forum, which I often enjoy reading.

Please excuse me for this long post...(it's worth reading!)

I've been experiencing a major health challenge for the last year, which is effectively destroying my body. It began with major insomnia, hair growing in strange places, chronic dehydration and collagen loss from skin and joints everyday. It's still a mystery to me, although I think it's something to do with high cortisol, copper and soil-based probiotic poisoning (my stool smells weird like it never smelled before in my life).

Whenever I don't eat for 1-2 hours, my body starts eating collagen from skin (I feel it tingling) etc. Usually, this is accompanied by bubbles in urine. The longer I fast, the more collagen I lose and the more bubbles appear in my urine.

This phenomena is not influenced by any changes in diet like macronutrients/micronutrients. The only factor is whether I top up my carbohydrate stores (glycogen) quickly enough.

It seems like my body cannot burn its abdominal fat for energy, instead opting to burn healthy tissue.

Anyway, I travelled to America (Arizona) a couple of months ago and while I was there, I experienced no GI problems unless I accidentally swallowed some kind of magnesium salt.

However, upon returning to England, I experienced loose stools, which have persisted for a while now. I just cannot understand the cause but oftentimes when I put something in my mouth, I almost immediately experience gut gurgling and gas.

I desperately need to take gelatine to support a condition where I'm losing collagen every day (still investigating that one), although this seems to provoke the diarrhea as well as just about everything else now.

Diarrhea is my worst nightmare because my adrenals are so dysregulated that whenever I lose water, my entire body suffers something like acute dehydration, whereby my skin is becoming very damaged, my joints are getting damaged and other structural things are suffering to the extent that I may be incapacitated soon.

I'm wondering if I've developed food intolerances or if there's some other disturbance to mucosa, flora etc.

I tried things like barefoot dewormer and enteric coated peppermint oil, but these things exacerbate my diarrhea. Maybe it's the smooth muscles of my GI tract that are too jumpy or relaxed.

I'm consuming fermented food/beverages and alternating with different anti-bacterials/fungals etc.

All I know is that any kind of loose or liquid stool represents electrolyte loss for me, which is a nightmare in my condition.

I'm looking to stabilise this so that I can at least take supplements. Even wholefood vitamin C causes upset GI tract.

Can anyone help me with a more multi-faceted, whole approach please?

I have a background of interest in different eating styles, food biochemistry, metabolic disorders and herbs among other things (just to place this post in context).

Thanks for your consideration.

Very best,
Scotty
