quick question about echinacea tincturing

ok I am getting ready to order some more echinacea to tincture

previously I used the Echinacea purpurea herb
and the Echinacea angustifolia root

should I be using the pupurea root ? or the herb ?

its been a while and I really dont remember

the tincture turned out fine but if it could be better then I would prefer that

also I have more of the purpurea herb left over and am out of the angustofolia root now
