Omega 6 role in increasing neutrophils / WBCs


So some of my tests came back and showed I have borderline low WBCs and below normal neutrophil (WBCs that fight candida/yeast) count. I've noticed low neutrophils is a common thread among candida sufferers.

In trying to eat super "healthy" for years I'd been getting the majority of my fats from things like flaxseed, salmon, cod liver oil, hemp seed oil, omega eggs, a couple walnuts here and there.

The problem here is Omega 3 and Omega 6 compete for receptors and enzymes to absorb. If you're eating a diet where all your fat comes from high Omega 3 sources you may be lacking in Omega 6 which is critical for immune function and other things.

To absorb Omega 6's you need an enzyme called D6D which uses as cofactors the following: magnesium, zinc, biotin, and vitamins B3, B6, and C.

Omega 6 is also part of the immune system's normal inflammatory response and helps your body produce the hormones to signal mucus production to remove invaders and wash them away. Omega 6 is converted to linoleic acid (LA) by the body which is converted to arachidonic acid (AA) which is used to make Neutrophils / White blood cells to attack candida.
