Re: My experiences with CDD triple therapy for blasto + got new infection

Had an appointment with my doctor at the tropical institute in Belgium.
He tried to conveince me again that blastocystis is really really apathogenic and it's irrealistic from me to put all my hope on it. He also said that if the triple therapy won't eradicate the BH, I will have to live with them because there won't be a harsher therapy then this. But so according to him not causing symptoms at all so anyway I will have to learn to live with my undiagnosed symptoms.
Also he didn't want to do the three stool samples, only just one because according to him their labo techniques are so good that they only need one sample to detect parasites.
I can also give three stool samples to my general doctor but problem is they don't use fixatives so also not very reliable.
Shrimpy, what do you mean with a purged sample?

I feel so discouraged, not knowing what to believe anymore. Maybe I am indeed putting all my hope on the BH.
