Frankly, I consider Metametrix testing useless. What are your symptoms? I suggest scraping some of the mold from your shower (or wherever) and set it on the plate (petri dish). Send it in to the lab (assuming you're using the kit that HD sells). More importantly, if you are able to produce any kind of sample (are you coughing?) -- get that cultured. NOTHING will reveal anything close to what a culture will. Culture must be handled by a competent lab - with which standard procedure is to hold and observe for four weeks. After one or two weeks you should receive a preliminary report which will provide some identification. Final report takes four weeks. Settle for nothing less. Find a good environmental medicine specialist if your GP is too clueless and sends you to a lab like Quest or LabCorp. The lab below is highly reliable:
