Re: Anyone tried Acupuncture for sciatica ?

Hello,

I realize that it has been a while since you posted this question. I hope you are still interested in an answer.

I used acupuncture for a lower back injury and sciatica. It worked pretty well. It worked better than anything else I had tried. But don't expect results in one session. I had treatments for 10 months. After a few months the pain was a great deal better.

Normally you don't even feel when the needles are inserted. When I had treatments I did not feel other needles being placed but I always felt the one that the Dr. put directly into my hip. He said it was because there was so much blocked chi there.

I stopped having the treatments and I do occasionally have a flare up of the sciatica but it not nearly as bad as it was.

Hope this helps!
