Ignorance

Ignorance on a mass scale for extended amounts of time yields a society that stops growing, becomes sheep, and only embraces pleasure and associates that pleasure with happiness. Long term it is non-sustainable. Kind of like eating and drinking ONLY one thing, it can only last for so long until the body starts to die.
