I started my juice fast on Sunday evening but I'll consider this my second day of fast. I have been eating fairly healthy over the years and so I have had no healing crises yet and have not felt hunger or temptation of any kind. I have been sleeping more than usual and it feels wonderful. My skin is gradually starting to clear which is great - I am doing drybrushing in the morning to get circulation going. I am feeling so good today its a shame to waste all this goodness in the office so I am staying home today to read, plan my future and get some more veggies for juicing (I am fasting with my roommate so we go through a lot of veggies). Feeling great and hope to stay that way!!!
As to my history I have been fasting since I was a kid (yes in Europe they do that) but have never done a long fast. My longest was 10 days on The Master Cleanse few years ago. I think what I need to do differently after this is to properly break the fast because I need to make sure I get my metabolism revving after the fast is over and then stay on healthy portions of nutritious foods. I have the tendency to overeat and thats what has been expanding my waistline over the years.
