OK, Dude!   The smell of feces is from eating animal flesh and animal products ... P E R I O D.  That should make it plain as the nose on your face as to how to get rid of the putrid smell - stop eating foods that are putrifying in your body.

IBS can be as simple as gluten or lactose intolerance.  You'd need to stop eating all gluten containing grains for 1 month and see if the problem is solved; if no change, switch to dairy free  diet for 1 month.  That's the simple road.

No matter what body system is involved, I recommend a mucus-less diet.  If unfamiliar you need to begin reading on this subject.  You can begin by going to MH's site (click the green banner in the upper left hand corner on the forum main page) go in the school folder and follow directions for getting access to BOOK 1, it's a true education on human diet written by a surgeon who opted not to die.
