Short-term Memory/Concentration loss from withdrawal

When dealing with a stressful period in my life, I was put on Cipralex (Escitalopram) for my main complaint of progressive memory loss.

Although I have not been officially diagnosed with an illness that triggers cognitive dysfunction (ie. anemia, thyroid, celiac, etc...) I came to the conclusion after consulting with alternative practitioners that I did not have depression. Also I feel that the antidepressant caused my brain to be even more sluggish.

However even a year later while being off the drug on a slow withdrawal process my memory that worsened has not come back yet.

I was wondering if anyone else feels this issue . If so has anything really helped?

I've started taking high dosages of Vitamin B12 and discovered that I was not getting REM sleep through a sleep specialist. I presume that this was as a result of the drug screwing up my system somehow.

I'm hoping to get better soon, but in the mean time any other suggestions would be great.

Thanks.
