Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Compartment Syndrome

I was going to have to travel over 100 miles to get to the nearest HBOT centre. By the grace of God, ive been fortunate enough to have a brand new HBOT centre in the town that i live in. Ive been researching it for years, and in recent months have a need for it. I have compartment syndrome in my calves, and my doctor said that He'd be willing to sign a scriipt for it, but he told me that surgery is the only option.

Ive read that HBOT can be effective for compartment syndrome. Id like to skip the surgery, that im getting in 12 days, and try to use this method instead. Has anyone had success treating muscular deformations/injuries with oxygen therapy?

As an avid cyclist, that is missing my first season of real, proper training, ive been fairly depressed. I really dont want to have my leg sliced open, and my fasciae permanently detached, from my muscles. I dont know, and i havent spoken to anyone that has undergone compartment surgery, about their post-op physical activity, so im really unsettled about the consequences. My dreams of Touring de France may die, even after i get physical therapy, to recover. This is a surgery where the purpose is to NOT make a full recovery. Hence my lack of desire to have my fasciae sliced open.
