Re: Strange Symptoms

The last few days my gut has been very upset for no reason I know of. I hardly ate anything today because everything from stomach to colon felt inflamed, bloated, gassy and achy. I only ate at all because I thought it 'might' be just strong hunger pains but I did NOT have an appetite when I ate. It's getting so I'm afraid and stressed out every time I eat and that's only adding to the problem!

Would taking more probiotics help?

Not if it is either acid reflux or gallbladder issues as I suspect.

Do the powdered probiotics really work?

I don't recommend them usually for a few reasons.  One is that there is no way to know how long they have been stored or if they were exposed to heat such as in shipping.  This is why I prefer liver culture foods.  At least you know the flora are actually live and active.

I haven't noticed!!! I stopped ALL my supplements until I figure all this out. Maybe I'm taking too much of them?

Depends a lot on what you are taking.  If you are taking anything that raises your estrogen or progesterone this could contribute to the gallbladder issues.

And my doc's assistant called encouraging me to see a surgeon so they can yank out my gallbladder since, she told me, according to the recent CT Scan, "it's full of stones and sludge and it won't go away on it's own." I told her I'd see the surgeon but it would be the LAST thing I'd do. Of course, I know about more options to try and heal my gallbladder than she does since she is the basic AMA/Big Pharma trained 'healthcare' provider.

There are ways to deal with gallstones.  Bitters and lecithin granules are two things that really help.  Here is more info and an explanation of why women are more prone to gallstones:

Could my gallbladder really be causing all these problems in me?

Yes, or at least a number of the problems you have mentioned.

I feel like a pinball machine with little steel balls hitting me here and there and bouncing around my insides so I can't figure out what is the root cause. To me, just cause they found sludge in my gallbladder doesn't mean that is the root cause of everything or that it's even problematic. Seems like they're just guessing it is and want to hustle me into surgery ... but I want to heal it not have it yanked out of me!

Good idea.  Having the gallbladder removed will only lead to more problems including an increased risk of intestinal cancer.

Was talking with hubby about this and he told me his mom had gallbladder troubles [she died earlier this year at age 93!] and the doc back then, probably in the early 1960s or so, put her on a low fat diet and gave her oxbile tablets[?] to take with meals. She kept her gallbladder too!

Ox bile is full of lecithin, which is the emulsifier that helps keep the cholesterol in solution rather than precipitating out as stones.

I'm trying not to stress about all this but I am sick of being sick and am about ready to just juice raw veggies and live on that for awhile and give my gut a rest or something!
