Actually, the eggs don't smell much at all after they've had time to cool off. The only drawback is you need someplace to put the shells.

Don't use a commercial dressing. They almost always have something bad in them. A dressing of olive oil and garlic or something like that would likely be fine assuming you have no trouble with those two ingredients.

Actually, I often just ate the eggs. It's monotonous, but it will keep you alive. You can add more things if you want more variety.
