My constipation is reduced by a low starch diet, not increased. So I am opposite of you. Fiber is not helpful in my type of constipation. I have some kind of candida or bacterial problem that gets worse the more starches (yes, healthy starches, not white ones) I eat, and I get more constipated with more starches (yes,all types of starches, from peas and whole grains to the legumes, etc; high-fiber or not, grains or not, all cause that problem for me.
