Re: Master Cleanse/Diatomaceous Earth

As to any additives or supplements to the MC, there are three schools of thought:

1. The purists argue that the Master-Cleanse is very strict and nothing can be used to supplement it beyond what Stanley Burroughs originally dictated.

2. Those who believe that the Master-Cleanse should only be supplemented with additives that ENHANCE the cleansing / detox process. This might include certain herbal teas, but very little else.

3. Those who believe that the Master-Cleanse can be supplemented with additives that in no way interfere with the MC cleansing / detox process, even if they don't enhance it.

I personally tried diatomaceous earth (DE) early on in my MC, and I noticed no interference or problems, but I can't be absolutely certain that it's permissible.

It seems to me that DE in no way triggers the digestive process, so it probably won't interfere ... after all, DE is merely pulverized fossil shells.
