Day one of 30-day Modified MC
So far, no surprises. The
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) didn't work, which is usually typical of the first day. This is the plan. Tell me what you think:
Adding: 3 tsp. of coconut oil per day, working up to 1 tbsp. a day. Taken throughout the day to keep up my energy level.
Substituting: Molasses for maple syrup according to the book for blood
Sugar issues. Using 3 tbsp. of coconut oil at night as a laxative instead of the senna tea, which causes me severe cramping. Plus, I'm fighting intestinal parasites, so the coconut oil will definitely help with that.
Adding: Two cups of morning coffee 1 hour after the
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) to give it time to work. I am so addicted to caffeine, I can't give it up. Thought about taking pills, but that's 3 cups, and I want to slowly cut my intake so by the end of the first ten days, I'll be off completely. 2 cups is half of what I usually drink per day, so will probably get a little bit of a headache, but not as bad as if I went cold turkey. I have migraines anyway, so no use tempting fate.
Also adding supplements, because I have malabsorption disorder, so I have to have my vitamins or I get so lethargic, I can't function. I have to still work, so my brain has to have its nutrients.
I'm going to modify the fast after day 10 by adding veggie broth, starting with 1 cup per day and working up to 3 per day until day 21, then I will wean off as the book prescribes, with the soup, etc.
I'm also doing sweats, by going outside and walking when it's hot but not too hot. Don't want to pass out. If it gets too hard to walk, I'll just sit and read outside. The sweat will be followed by a dip in the pool. I figure this will help take the toxins out through my skin instead of my kidneys. Enough of the crap is going to be going through them.
