The hormone or design?

Im really worried if it was the hormone I was reacting to or the design, maybe both. Although my merina is out now Im wondering if it may be a metal in the strings or the sillicone or the polyetheyne in the merina that got me sick. I worry because I have a lapband implanted around my stomache. If it has the same products used to make the merina (minus the hormone) will I get sick with that too? But then again it may just be the hormone because I was reading somewhere that if you are allergic to depo provera that you should never be fitted with a merina. I am allergic to depo since i was 18. Anyone have any thought? Suggestions?
