Optical Nerve Damage

Hello. My friend was in a motorcycle accident and her rear left side got hit bad in the concussion and severed her vision reception on her right side. She is doing some kind of vision therapy right now, twice a day, but I am wondering if anyone here can suggest a doctor that can perform an operation, perhaps, that would restore some or all of her sight. One eye is shut and the other is hard to see out of.
Any suggestions on a surgeon would be really appreciated.
