breast (feeding) abcess

please advise re large breast abcess result of mismanagement in the beginning of mastitis. IV antibiotics hospitalisation which mostly cleared it, but still some lumps and some pain. emptying breasts with electric pump, massaging, resting. I will advise that diet should be looked at the mother has been so knocked about by this I think she ahs been in survival mode and putting in every effort she can muster to continue breast feeding that her diet is probably lacking.
