Hiatal Hernia and gall/intestinal pain


I've have had serious pain in my gall region for 10 years, and done over 50 liver flushes, but with no positive results or reduction in pain. I just found out that I have a medium Hiatal Hernia, and after doing some searching have found some indication that a Hiatal Hernia can sometimes mimic gall/bilary pain, and can affect the abdominal region. So I'm faced with the possibility that this past 10 years of pain has nothing to do with my gall bladder or liver function...but might be my Hiatal Hernia that is causing the pain. I won't know unless I have the Hernia repaired.
Anyone else have any experience with this ???
