Obama isn't "putting down" the Republican agenda, he is furthering much of it. Obama is a puppet controlled by globalists. He has tricked the American people into believing he is for them. It isn't about Republican vs. Democrat. It is about freedom vs. non-freedom. Try to see beyond the democrat/republican party paradigm. It is all a dog and pony show to keep the people fighting with each other when what they should be doing is fighting against the tyrannical government.

Our freedoms are slipping away little by little under Obama. Bush got it started with 911 and the Patriot Act. Both Bush and Obama are globalists whose powers help to further the NWO agenda.
