Re: Water Purification for Emergency Storage

Hello Mmshelper,

It appears that you don't understand how oxidizers work. An oxidizer works by having a concentration of the oxidizer in contact with the pathogen for a period of time long enough to kill it.

The concentration measurement of most oxidizers is parts per million. Water disinfecting is done using ranges in the 1 - 4 PPM range to avoid high levels of disinfection by products. Wilderness water disinfection generally uses 4 PPM free chlorine dioxide and a contact time of 4 hours.

Since you say that you have gone through Jim Humbles class, what PPM of free chlorine dioxide does 1 drop of Miracle-Mineral-Supplement in 1 gallon of water give you?

Also, if you have giardia or crytosporidium in the water, how long does your 1 drop concentration in a gallon of water take to kill those pathogens?

Tom
