How to protect family from Blastocystis in same house

I have a quick question: How contagious is Blastocystis? Can you infect your family easily; even if you wash your hands after using the bathroom? If that were the case; everybody who has would give it everybody even outside the house, right?

What are the best possible ways to protect others from this bug? Should you not use the same items in the kitchen the family members use, etc?
