Gelatin capsule vary a great deal. Some are designed to pass through the stomach and dissolve in the intestines. Gelatin capsules are used more for pharmaceuticals, while vegetable/cellulose capsules are a favourite of herbal and vitamin markets. Some dissolve quite quickly 5 - 10 minutes, others can take up to 45 minutes and as said before some can pass out of the stomach.

Ask the supplier about the dissolution rate of the capsule. Ideally you want then to dissolve together. I notice that some manufacturers give the dissolution rates in stomach acid conditions. However, an empty stomach has only a teaspoon of acid in it and when you drink water with the capsules this is diluted.

Macadamia nut oil is a excellent alternative to olive oil.
