So I contacted Magnesium Direct, as the mines that supplies them specifically stated "you can ask them for a Certificate of Origin with a batch analyses"

So I emailed them the following:

I currently use your magnesium oil in an 8oz spray.  I was wondering if you could send me a Certificate of Origin with a batch analyses.  In particular I would like to know the parts per million (if any) for the following:

Bromides
Sulphates
Aluminum
Arsenic
Calcium
Iron
Potassium
Heavy metals

Thank you for your inquiry.  Our certificate of origin and batch analysis are company secrets, sorry about that!  We do share them with doctors, however.  I can tell you that the DermaMag is the only magnesium oil on the market where each and every batch is measured against a batch protocol.  if it doesn't measure up, it is rejected.  This is done in the laboratory at the mine, whcih is ISO and GMP certified.  The key is that the analysis equipment used is one of the few systems in the world that can measure heavy metal contaminants in such a heavy salt matrix.  Other brands say that they are low on certain heavy metals which is mostly because their lab equipment is not sensitive enough to pick it up!

I won't be purchasing from them.

I believe that I found a source of pure magnesium chloride in solid form from a chemical lab which I can mix and make my own mag oil.  It is ACS grade:

ACS grade = Highest quality; often equals or exceeds the latest purity standards set by the American Chemical Society (ACS). This is the only universally accepted standard. Chemicals are of the highest purity attainable.

I am going to email them the following questions:

1. I would like to know the parts per million (if any) for the following:

Bromides
Sulphates
Aluminum
Arsenic
Calcium
Iron
Potassium
Heavy metals

2. Is it created in the lab or mined then purified.

All I have to say is that so far all US comanies that sell magnesium oil only care about sales.  I would rather make my own from the raw resources provided they are pure and cut them out as they are only middlemen anyway.
