Update almost 3 months post

Hi all,
I just wanted to give everyone an update. I had my mirena out on Feb. 15, 2011 after having it in 1 year. Here is a recap of what led me to getting it out: I started experiencing numbness and tingling mostly on my right side, and dizziness.THis started when I quit nursing. I had an MRI that showed "a few punctate areas" that were not diagnostic of MS, but early MS couldn't be ruled out completely. I then went on to have a spinal tap, which showed no MS, although about 15% of people with MS don't show up on that test. Anyway after those tests did not show MS, I got the IUD out. I had been feeling better anyway, but after I got the IUD out I have hardly had any symptoms the last two months. Absolutely no dizziness. I had figured out I was getting 4-5 days of dizziness everytime I ovulated. Anyway, I thought I was done with this whole health nightmare, and then my right leg went numb during the night Saturday night and has been numb off and on since then. I have has some minor numbness in my mouth and right arm too. I am so scared and don't want to do this again. I got my period on Sunday, so I am guessing this is all still connected to the Mirena? I could hardly sleep last night I was so anxious. I started taking anti anxiety medication again this morning. I am just devastated to be at this point again and not know what to do. A few questions:
- Do your symptopms start to go away again after your period goes away?
- Should I seek treatment or continue to wait it out?
-Have any of you had a doctor acknowledge that it could take this long to get better and why? My doctor told me it would only take one week for it to be out of my system.
I am going to see a naturapath to have my mercury levels tested. I have a lot of mercury filling that I am wondering if they could be to blame too.
-Have any of you tried another route beside the Mirena being the problem?
Just having a rough day today, and wanted to hear from people who had been there.
