Are organic herbs from foreign countries irradiated?

I bought a bunch of herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs and found out that a little over half of the herbs I bought are from other countries. I had heard repeatedly from this site that Mountain Rose was a good site to order from. I understand that it is best to get the ones grown in the USA. Are organic or wild crafted herbs still irradiated when they come to the US? Should I be concerned about the quality or safety of these herbs, especially the ginger from China? Should I return them?

These are the foreign ones I received:

Horsetail, organic - Albania
White oak bark powder, organic - Hungary
Comfrey root powder, organic - Poland
Fennel seed, organic - Egypt
Cayenne powder, organic - India
Raspberry leaf, organic - Albania
Ginger root powder, organic - China
Clove powder, organic - Sri Lanka

I am making some of Dr. Christopher's formulas for a better quality than can be gotten with buying his products since they are not as good as they used to be. Thanks! Tweet
