Has anyone developed GERD/reflux from seasonal allergies?

We just moved to Arizona (two months ago) and it seems like since we've moved here, my allergies have sky rocketed. I didn't have seasonal allergies at home, but here they are awful. We lived here one other time before and the same thing happened in spring - my allergies got horrible. I am told it is something indiginous to this area that blooms in the spring. Anyway, since my allergies have flared up, I have gotten really bad reflux. I had it to a mild degree before, but it seems like since my allergies have been so bad, so has the reflux. Does anyone else have this same connection or does anyone know if allergies can cause/make reflux/gerd worse? My throat feels like a raw slab of meat. Thanks.
