It actually make sense that its bad bacteria causing this. A number of people with anal fecal odor have been diagnose with fistula (bad bacteria infection from a wound). In their case as well, the bad bacteria was producing odorless gas that "take on" the smell of anything that the gas encounters, thus strong anal fecal odor
