dont understand???

Hi, i had the mirena removed 2 years ago now iwas put on the pill and it did help alot with all the side effects i got from the mirena.2 months ago i came of my pill and thought i was going insane when my period was due.Just like the mirena side effects i went to my gp and he told me my hormones were probley ever were because i had came of my pill so im now waiting for my next period.Buth the thing i dont get is if the Mirena has a syntic hormone in it and the pill also does how come im fine with the pill???
