Re: OD on Wormwood????? Please help
I did find one authoritative site that backs you up. The University of Hawaii.
"PHARMACOLOGY: The lactons absinthin and anabsinthin are responsible for the antihelmintic activity of
Wormwood . In additiona, thujone can shock or stun roundworms, which are then expelled from the intestines via normal peristalsis."

Most sites say no definitive studies have been done on
Wormwood , and the only double-blind study showed very little therapeutic value, other than as a digestive aid (it's a bitter). The only sites I've found that say it kills worms are sites that are trying to sell something. No authoritative sites, .edu or .gov, state this.
If people want to believe every commercial site that comes along, fine, but thujone, the active ingredient, is dangerous in large doses. Vitacost says not to take it for over 4 weeks at the recommended dose.
This is from Erowid. This guy is all about getting high, but he does his research and knows his stuff:
"Risk of Death #
Thujone is a convulsant agent. Poisoning events involving
Wormwood are rare, but this may in part be due to the rareness of its use. Weisbord et al. (1997) report a case of nearly-fatal acute renal failure following the ingestion of 10 ml wormwood oil ordered over the internet. Erowid has received one report of a person who was hospitalized following ingestion of an entire bottle of wormwood essence. The amount of thujone consumed is not known in either case. Given the small number of reports of wormwood use, two known hospitalizations warrants extreme caution."
