Pretty and Dr. McCombs... I am so glad I finally found someone who talked about this.There are a lot of hcg users having this problem right now.

I have Hashimoto's, gerd, leaky gut. I am on a pretty strict Hashi diet of no sugar no gluten anyway but I complained to my thyroid dr.that no matter how clean my diet was every 2-3 months I would get these outrageous hunger cravings in the middle of the night that would wake me up.
My thyroid dr. actually put me on hcg to do a "modified fast" to get rid of gerd etc and hoping any fungus would too be gone. NOPE!!! I have done 3 rounds. P2 was awesome no problem never felt better then every time I'm in p3 the cravings, waking up in the night starving,itchy, bloating etc. came raging back. This time I went back to my dr and he started me on amphotericin B powder but didn't really explain the diet.
I googled for days instinctively knowing there was more to this and having read yeast connection many years ago. That's when I found Dr. McCombs site book etc.
I was about to cycle back to p2 so the diet would be easier but just feel too weak to do it. I gained back 6 pounds in one week on p3. I am keeping the gain at bay by doing the candida diet. Sweating literally saved my life as the die off was unbearable. I was still confused about food etc...like using braggs vinegar,yogurt, and fruit. There is so much debate "out there" about it all.
So now I am sticking to McCombs diet minus the rice as I can't seem to tolerate any grains right now.
Thank you for bringing this up and I agree with both answers. I need the energy to deal with this and it really wouldn't be p2 protocol anyway.
