Re: Replace 8 amalgam fillings with composite/ceramic ones?

Hi Bisan,

I am also in the similar position as yours. This is what I am thinking. Before you removed any amalgams, make sure you find a dentist who knows how to do it safely (there is a link of safe removal protocol here in curezone). Then you also need to check the replacement material, whether you are compatible with them (different people has different sensitivity). Just because other people have no problems with composite, doesn't mean you won't. You need to check your body compatibility with the material before the dentist put it in your teeth. Also, check with your dentist whether there are other harmful materials used in the composite. For instance, there are BPA (Bisphenol A) which is used in the composite. BPA is not heavy metal, but it is still poisonous (Canada just banned it btw). So yeah, if you want some list of biocompatible material, you can pm me, I will send you links on it. Then you can ask your dentist to check which one is compatible with your body.

Next is to do it in right sequence (the dentist will check the current in each teeth, they have quadrants priority) and do it SLOWLY. Why? Because even though you follow safe removal procedure, it doesn't mean you won't get any mercury exposure. The safe procedure only MINIMIZE the exposure. So do it slowly so that your body can have time to be strenghten before the next removal schedule.

I know if possible, we want to do the replacement all at once and speedy chelation...but from what I learned so far, for mercury poisoning, it's not a viable option. Doing too fast may give you more problem. Pace yourself wisely. I hope you can find the right dentist to work it out with you.

Hope this helps,

ERM
