Re: Ozone therapy study - cholesterol down, glutathione up
fascinating study here. basically they injected medical grade ozone directly into the veins of patients.
What they found out was that the cholesterol in the bloodstream dramatically reduced, while glutathione levels dramatically increased
Glutathione of course is your body's main antioxidant and heavy metal detoxifier

Decrease of blood cholesterol and stimulation of antioxidative response in cardiopathy patients treated with endovenous ozone therapy

Great post. Reminds me of a friend of mine who was having a heart attack. He had a number of previous ones, but really did not want to go to the hospital again. So he tried ozone instead off and on for about 40 minutes. It did not kill the pain so he finally went to the hospital. It took Demerol then finally a direct injection of morphine to kill the pain. The most interesting part though is that it took the hospital 3 days to figure out he had a heart attack because the ozone had prevented the normal rise of heart damaging enzymes for those three days and for some reason the heart attack was not showing on the EKG (ECG) either. As soon as he got out of the hospital he started on regular ozone treatments to prevent future heart attacks.
Ozone actually does a number of things to help prevent heart attacks and strokes. Ozone removes arterial plaque, prevents clumping of red blood cells (rouleaux), increases tissue oxygen levels by breaking carbon monoxide-hemoglobin bonds and weakening carbon dioxide-hemoglobin bonds making oxygen more readily available. Ozone has also been found to reverse the damage from strokes if administered within 3 hours post stroke. As with the heart attack this is from the ozone preventing the reperfusion damage that leads to the tissue damage after heart attacks and strokes. Ozone does this by increasing antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), which neutralizes the superoxide radical and peroxynitrite responsible for much of the damage after heart attacks and strokes.
