I too suffer with FBO and whenever I feel it is at its worst, I also have a lot of moisture around my anus.

What's also interesting is that I have had things inserted into that area by an ex partner during intercourse.

Can I ask, did diet ever make your symptoms worse?

I've found that a high Sugar diet and/or high alcohol intake makes my odor a lot stronger and more persistent! If I avoid alcohol and sugary foods, I can near enough go about my daily life without any problems.

Could it be that a diet high in Sugar and alcohol actually make my insides smell worse, and so exacerbate the problem?

I've always assumed that it had something to do with a bacterial inbalance in my stomach or a fungal infection etc.
