Re: Hello everyone im new and had a couple questions :)
Welcome to the board. And nice to see such a good looking young lady on here as well.
First would stop the 8 glasses a day on the water fast. I did that my first fast which was 31 water, 3 juice, 2 water and 4 juice. I had problems pretty sure do to too much water flushing out all my sodium and potassium.
Not good.
Most on here recommended drinking only when thirsty.I think I should have listened but didn't. By day 25 was so dizzy and had such bad fainting feelings when walking around was afraid would pass out and hit head and die.
I went over to juice day 31 drinking high sodium juice on purpose and that helped pretty quickly. Juice has some sodium and potassium in it ,at least some of the store juices I was buying. Juice fasting is much easier than water. You have way more energy and you don't get that passing out feeling walking around or even getting up as much as on water.
If you get up quick on water you will get that passing out feeling or actually pass out. Thats from blood pressure which drops really low on fast. Mostly I think do to no sodium and maybe some other minerals.
I originally thought it was due to dehydration and got into some good arguements with some of these guys on here but after drinking even more water like 10 or more glasses a day the dizzyness/fainting just got worse.
I also started to get some bad cramps in legs and took potassium supplments which stopped those.
First fast also took multivitamins and took green tea capsules trying to get extra energy.
This time around doing more pure fast like most on here do. So no multivitamins, no green tea capsules and don't think any coffee, green tea, diet pop or diet drinks all of which did have on first fast. I did put in zero calorie sweetners in them.
This time as said trying to keep it pure, drinking only couple glasses of water a day. Am on day 3 today. Energy isn't great today feel a bit draggy. I have chronic fatigue though so always a bit draggy but seems worse on the fast. Normally energy is poor about first week then gets better after that. A lot depends on how much bodyfat you have to burn. If you have no fat to burn and you look like you are pretty light actually you will get very tired usually and
Water Fasting will be hard to do if you have to work or go out much.
Juice fasting works much better if you have to work ,energy on juice is near normal and dizzyness /fainting is much less common. Wife refuses to
Water Fast she did 28 day juice fast when I did my 40 day water /juice thing and she is now doing another juice fast while I do my pure water thing.
What is your height and weight now? Too many women think they are fat when they are not. I have x wifes and daughters with that problem. Please don't fall into that trap. Fasting is ok even if you are bit thin but not really long biblical type fasts.
Sorry for such a long post but wanted to be thorough for you. This is my second
Water Fast and have done a couple of juice fasts several years ago.
Oh and as for spiritual stuff I not traditionally religious and more new age if anything. I have experienced nice clarity of mind periods on the
Water Fasting and an emotional mellowness that is quite pleasant. I have not talked to God or had him talk to me or anything really amazing in that way.
Some people seem to fast longer or better if they are fasting for God or if they think God told them to do it.
Heck there is girl on youtube that did 3 almost back to back 40 day fasts on water.
Best wishes on your fast.
