regrowing 'adult' teeth
I've been thinking about this for some time. It just doesn't make sense that we can only grow 2 sets of teeth to me.
I started looked at what infants do to grow their teeth. They start chewing on things...sucking and biting their thumbs...but definitely lots of chewing...then the first two bottom teeth sprout...then the top two and it just seems to spread from there...I wonder if perhaps it has to do with pressure on the gums and jaw from chewing on things that triggers the jaw bone to sprout a tooth.
I was reading online about a guy who had smashed his adult tooth out and for ten years had nothing there. He said he developed a habit of playing with the hole with his tongue..always pushing on it...and eventually he sprouted a new teeth in the empty hole and it took a year to grow in fully.
I want to hear about anyone who has had any similar experiences.
I challenge any of you with missing teeth to put this to the test. Average babies sprout teeth anywhere from 4-7months so don't expect anything too soon. Having a good chew toy would be helpful. 'baby' carrots? a nice piece of wood?
If you think I'm crazy please refrain from posting. I already know I am thank you in advance.d
