Apparently whatever 'colon blend' your using isn't an adequate substitute for the recommended ground flax, slippery elm, or IF#2.

I've made it with all three and never had to add more than an additional tablespoon or two of water (if that) and never had to cook it more than just a few minutes before it starts 'bubbling & steaming'.

This poultice never feels "eventful" to most people.

I suggest making a 'regular size one', getting that right, and then increasing the size after that :)
