Sense of smell does get more acute during fasting. Never noticed any big problem with this though.

Also drinking gallon of water is likely big mistake.I drank mostly 8 to 10 glasses of water on my fast thinking it was good idea. But in hindsight next time fast will try what many say on here to only drink when thirsty. I blame all that water drinking on taking too much sodium and potassium out of my system and causing super low blood pressure, fainting feelings even when walking around not just when getting up quick. My energy was not great first week but improved as the fast went on.Energy is still much better on juice fast.

Water fasting does burn off the weight quick though.

You may already have such low sodium or potassium that you need supplements. I didn't try sodium pills but took some potassium pills when started to get muscle cramps.I should maybe have took sodium pills which might not have been necessary if would have only drank when thirsty.

At day 32 went to juice and drank high sodium juice on purpose trying to replenish sodium and also some juice with potassium as well. I felt much better almost immediately on the juice and my fainting feelings went away and could go out of the house again without fear or passing out.
I did 31 water, 3 juice, 2 water and 4 juice total of 40 days. Went down from around from 258.8 to 217 at lowest point ,regained to about 227 week or two later on refeed and am now at 221 and its been like 40 days post fast.
Some water weight regain is inevitable as you again eat sodium and carbs.
