Dude, name calling doesn't prove anything. What do you think is pessimistic? That their economy is toast? With their massive debt, destroyed infrastructure and thus manufacturing base, newly uninhabitable lands, how could it be anything but?

That the unprecedented radiation release won't destroy and keep destroying their population for years to come?

I've always thought the Japanese people represented the pinnacle of civilization and this absolutely breaks my heart.

If it weren't for the destruction of their land and geography by the radiation, those amazing people coulda woulda overcome all the rest of it. I'm not so sure the human race itself will survive all the destruction of the environment we've seen lately between the nuclear meltdown in Japan and the massive poisoning of the oceans from BP. And I have no doubt more's to come.
