Etienne,
I am sure the ideal diet is 0 carbohydrate. It is probably the ideal diet against candida but isn't a healthy diet. The same Dr. Truss wrote the diet must be adjusted every some time. That is the reason because it is a phase diet. I don't know until where my case be so severe to need a real 0 carbohydrate diet. I am doing fast progress eating brown rice and buckwheat. Now, the question is will be this enough to eliminate the fungus ?? I don't know. I don't have any symptoms eating brown rice and rice cakes. I understand what you say and I agree with you this is a total load problem and more an immune problem than anything. So far, my best is to go with a low carbohydrate diet to see what point I can reach. Moreover, I don't know of anybody who knows for sure a 0 carbohydrate diet is the cure. I wish it because I am tired of be suffering and see how many new people get this forum everyday. They really don't know how terrible is this fungus. I am expecting to recover my life doing whatever thing. I have dauther waiting for me and it is hard for me to believe a fungus in the intestines can not be killed with anything. If I don't respond with a restrictive diet like this, I will go for chelation, turpentine, and anything.
Jorge.
