Re: Toxic cleaning products in our homes
Im sure its the tip of the iceberg - as a sufferer from multiple chemical sensitivities anything that has an artificial fragrance in it also triggers responses like sore throat, headaches sometimes nausea sore eyes etc.
The one thing that i find most problematic is the foul smelling biological washing powders and fabric conditoners and no-one else seems to notice and every where i go about half the people stink of these - add to this perfumes and deodorant.
I also noticed that the less I use any of these type of toxic products the more sensitive I am to them.
Visitors to my home often leave a rank smell behind them that may often linger for weeks too! which is why i now have a cheap ozonator - brilliant!
The other thing that helps is supplementing with TMG which reduces the number of sypmtoms and the severity.
Another gripe I have is purchasing items over the internet or even in stores many items stink of perfumes and fabric conditioners esp plastics as they absorb fragrances and other chemicals quite easily - even foodstuff after they have been handled by these people.
I dont know if its my imagination or not but 20 years ago people didnt use anywhere near the amount of chmicals that they use today.
Anyway - glad you posted this video - apologies for my venting - I too would like to see extensive labelling on these type of products & the risks they may incur but I am sure that this isn't going to happen any time soon.
