I have been asking my self the same question......in fact I have been taking apart the rolled up tomato skins I pass and comparing them to real tomato skins under a magnifying glass!
I also "happen" to find these rolled up tomato skins in my stools the day after i eat tomatoes.......
Conclusion: tomato skins are pretty indigestible, you will see them in your stools....
However, I passed a load of liver flukes and they were very different from the previous "real" tomato skins that were a muddy red colour. These were much tougher and like shiny foil....the colours were flame red and crimson [a sort of deep pink] I then searched on the web and found pictures of liver flukes in these very bright colours....
So I am very dubious about describing fluke remains as tomato skins....'cause that can confuse a lot of people....
