OT- Hi again, just finished garden prep!

Just getting back to CZ from all my garden prep. Whew!

I layered the whole yard, about 1/4 an acre with cardboard, then added 3-4 inches of wood chips on top of that, then added a bale each of straw & alfalfa to the veggie patch, some of my home farmed worms, and then pine needles and rabbit pellets. What a treasure hunt to get all these things together, to say nothing of the labor to lay them all out!

But in a few months it should have all been converted via ma nature via the worms, etc into the beginning of healthy black soil- and the crabgrass/weeds should be smoothered and taken care of.

A long explanation for my time away.
